ELECTION 2010...

Election Day. Everyone in the country is entitled with the freedom to vote. This election 2010 is different and special at the same time first; this will be first time that the national election will be automated which means no more long mins of writing the name of the candidates and no more manual counting, you just have to shade the oval before the name of your chosen candidate for a specific position. This is not as complicated as it seems you just have to follow the guidelines provided by the officials cause if you don’t your vote will not be counted. Anyhow the second reason why this election is special because I got to experience to vote for national positions first time (yey) awesome.
The night before the election I already prepared my list just like everyone in the family does. Honesty, I wasn’t that excited to vote cause from what I’ve heard the line is so long and that there are certain problems to encounter at the precint. Anyhow, the day of the election came May 10, 2010. The whole family went to our precint at around 7:3am, good thing we already know our precint. We waited for around an hour for name to be called then headed to the voting area. Overall I think the election went ok for its first ever automated election though it took us almost 2 and a half hours to vote, I think all the waiting and the uncomfortable weather is worth it. Anyhow, after we voted the family headed to the nearest fastfood to have breakfast. Anyways, my view in this election was we all have to exercise our right to vote for the betterment of our country. This election I am proud to say; I Voted!.. for the best…for a clean government…and for the successes and peace for the nation.
